Welcome to my web site.

Ever since I can remember, I have been fascinated with the link between suffering and the healing power inherent in our bodies and in all of creation. So much of the time, spiritual teachers and authors skim over the painful part to get to the good part. But my life has not allowed me to do this.

I was hit by tough times early in my family, and within myself. On top of that, my work has taken me to the toughest neighborhoods and toughest patients. I had to have a bridge — a solid bridge, one that could not break — a bridge that would take me through my suffering to transcendence. I had to bridge that gap for myself and try to figure out a way to help my patients do the same.

This work has culminated in my recently revised book, "Healing Power: Ten Steps to Pain Management and Spiritual Evolution (Revised), Introducing the Universal Healing Wheel" :

Workshops

"Spirituality & Healing in Clinical Practice"

These are two-day workshops offered by NIHP. No workshops are currently scheduled. However, if a minimum of five participants request a workshop, Dr. Shapiro will schedule one at your venue.
